Annex 1 Mandatory Conditions
Mandatory conditions where licence authorises supply of alcohol
1 No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:-
a at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence,
or
b at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.
2 Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
3 The premises licence holder shall ensure that an age verification policy applies to the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol.
The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be under 18 years of age (or such older age as may be specified in the policy) to produce on request, before being served alcohol, identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a holographic mark.
Annex 2 Conditions consistent with Operating Schedule
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The licence holder shall ensure that alcohol is not sold to anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol.
2. The licence holder shall ensure that CCT cameras are installed and images retained for a period of approximately 31 days and made available to the Police upon request.
Public Safety
3. The licence holder shall ensure that emergency lighting is installed at the premises and evacuation procedures put in place.
4. The licence holder shall ensure that electrical equipment is checked on a regular basis and risk assessments undertaken.
5. The licence holder shall ensure that first aid equipment is available as well as an accident book which will be maintained and checked on a regular basis.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
6. The licence holder shall ensure that noise, light and odour levels are controlled to reduce risk of causing public nuisance.
7. The licence holder shall ensure that deliveries to the store are arranged at reasonable times of the day.
8. The licence holder shall ensure that adequate litter bins are provided for customers.
Protection of Children from Harm
9. The licence holder shall operate the ‘Challenge 25’ proof of age scheme.
10. The licence holder shall operate and maintain a refusals book which will be checked on a regular basis.
11. The licence holder shall ensure all staff are trained in accordance with the company’s procedures as to the sale of age restricted articles.
