Annex 1 Mandatory Conditions
Mandatory conditions where licence authorises supply of alcohol
1 No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:-
a at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence,
or
b at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.
2 Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
Mandatory conditions where the licence authorises the exhibition of films
3 Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless subsection 4(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that body of this Certificate.
4 Where
(a) the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or
(b) the relevant licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question,
admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.
5 In this section -
"children" means persons aged under 18; and
"film classification body" means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c.39)(authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).
Annex 2 Conditions consistent with Operating Schedule
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The licence holder shall ensure that the designated premises supervisor on the premises actively participates in the local licence watch scheme.
2. The licence holder shall ensure that toughened glass is used on the premises when they are open for additional hours.
3. The licence holder shall ensure that CCTV is in operation at the premises during additional hours.
4. The licence holder shall ensure that in line with company Alcohol and Social Responsibility Policy there are no promotions that encourage illegal, irresponsible or immoderate consumption.
Public Safety
None.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
5. The licence holder shall ensure that reasonable steps are taken to recognise the rights of local residents and to encourage customers to leave quietly.
6. The licence holder shall ensure managers liaise with local neighbours as part of their duties and resolve any reasonable concerns in accordance with the Role in the Community Guidelines.
Protection of Children from Harm
7. The licence holder shall ensure that managers and staff are briefed in the importance of their responsibilities in ensuring that alcohol is not served to people who are under 18 years of age.
