Annex 1 Mandatory Conditions
Mandatory conditions where licence authorises supply of alcohol
1 No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:-
a at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence,
or
b at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.
2 Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
Annex 2 Conditions consistent with operating schedule
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The licence holder shall ensure that digital CCTV cameras are installed and are in operation during the hours that alcohol is sold.
2. The licence holder shall ensure that recordings are kept for 28 days and are made available to the Police and other agencies including the Local Authority.
3. The licence holder shall ensure that where an incident involving the sale of alcohol occurs the incident is reported via the online reporting system to Head Office.
4. The licence holder shall ensure that all incidents are reported and monitored by Store Management.
Public Safety
None.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
None.
Protection of Children from Harm
5. The licence holder shall ensure that point of sale notices are displayed advising that any person who appears under the age of 25 will be asked for proof of age.
6. The licence holder shall ensure that all staff are given training regarding the consequences for adults who buy alcohol on behalf of children.
7. The licence holder shall ensure that all refusals are recorded and a refusals book kept in store.
8. The licence holder shall ensure that employees only accept photographic identification as proof of age to confirm that a customer who appears under 25 is legally entitled to purchase alcohol i.e. passport, photo card driving licence, identification card with PASS hologram.
9. The licence holder shall ensure that all members of staff involved in the sale of goods to the public are trained to ensure that they avoid making sales of alcoholic products to those under the age of 18.
10. The licence holder shall ensure that signs are displayed reminding customers that it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcohol by someone aged under 18 or for someone aged under 18.
11. The licence holder shall ensure that the ‘Challenge 25’ proof of age policy is in operation at the premises and shall display relevant signage.
12. The licence holder shall operate a till prompt for any sale of alcohol which will remind members of staff that they need to be aware that the sale is an age restricted product and they should ensure that the person is eligible to purchase the product, i.e. Challenge 25.
