Annex 2 Conditions consistent with operating schedule
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The licence holder shall ensure that the company work in partnership with South Yorkshire Police to prevent crime and disorder.
2. The licence holder shall ensure that a robust CCTV is in operation at the premises which complies with Data Protection legislation with appropriate signage reflecting this information.
3. The licence holder shall ensure that a digital motion activated CCTV system is in operation where images are retained on a hard driver system. All CCTV equipment is to be of a standard suitable to record images of a proper quality; meeting the industry standard and has LGC Forensics or Kalagate Certification. As part of the digital system an alarm will sound if the equipment is faulty or not recording, thereby alerting management for the need to intervene. The CCTV system shall be serviced regularly by qualified maintenance technicians.
4. The licence holder shall ensure that the CCTV system will be provided to Police officers at their request.
5. The licence holder shall ensure that a Staffsafe system with both audio and visual monitoring capability will be installed in the restaurant, this system can be activated by either fixed or mobile panic buttons. Once activated the system links the restaurant to an external monitoring centre capable of intervening to resolve crime and disorder issues and or provide appropriate advice or instruction to support and protect the restaurants staff and customers.
6. The licence holder shall ensure that all shift managers have safety and security training; including Maybo SIA accredited Conflict Management Training.
Public Safety
7. The licence holder shall ensure that the management of the restaurant work in partnership with South Yorkshire Fire Service & Environmental Health officers to ensure public safety.
8. The licence holder shall ensure that public safety systems are in place to protect the safety of customers and staff at all times. That they will work with Environmental Health and South Yorkshire Fire Service to ensure they are complying with relevant Health and Safety legislation.
9. The licence holder shall ensure that the premises are also subject to inspections from their own safety and security teams to ensure systems are maintained.
10. The licence holder shall ensure that all restaurant staff receives comprehensive safety training to ensure that safe working methods are adopted and all staff are trained on the restaurant’s evacuation procedure in the event of a fire or other dangerous occurrence.
11. The licence holder shall ensure that the premises operate a “no Open Alcohol Containers” policy to prevent persons carrying open alcohol into the in-store area.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
12. The licence holder shall that litter patrols are carried out at the premises.
13. The licence holder shall ensure that all packaging displays the “Bin It” symbol to encourage customers to deal with their waste responsibly.
14. The licence holder shall ensure that where practical measures are put into place to limit noise nuisance. Including all restaurant doors to be self-closing and to encourage customers to be considerate to neighbours and to limit noise when ordering food and leaving the local area.
Protection of Children from Harm
15. The licence holder shall ensure that they continue to employ the same practices to ensure that children are protected from harm at all times whilst visiting the restaurant.
